What’s happening in Coweta County this month?
October 2026 opens with Oktoberfest in Downtown Newnan (Oct 2), brings the 30th Annual Turin Antique Farm Power Show & Tractor Pull (Oct 10) and Senoia Italian Heritage Day (Oct 11), and builds to a Halloween weekend led by the Spirits & Spice Festival (Oct 24) and the Munchkin Masquerade (Oct 30).

Fall comes alive in Coweta County this October
October is one of our favorite times to be out and about in Coweta County. The air cools off, downtown squares fill up, and nearly every weekend brings something worth putting on the calendar. Here are a few events we would circle first.
Oktoberfest kicks things off
Main Street Newnan’s Oktoberfest returns Friday, October 2, from 5 to 10 PM. More than 30 downtown businesses will be pouring samples of Georgia craft brews alongside refreshments and shopping specials. Tickets are $30 and capped at 500, and this one typically sells out — so plan ahead. The next morning, Market Day brings 55-plus vendor spaces to the courthouse square from 10 AM to 2 PM.
A weekend of heritage in Turin and Senoia
On Saturday, October 10, the Turin Antique Tractor Association hosts its 30th Annual Antique Farm Power Show & Tractor Pull from 10 AM to 8 PM, celebrating eastern Coweta County’s farming roots. The next day, downtown Senoia hosts Italian Heritage Day, a celebration of Italian food, artistry, and tradition that runs from the afternoon into the evening.
Fall evenings downtown
Senoia Alive After Five returns Friday, October 16, with artisan vendors, food trucks, caramel apples, and live music. The following evening, the sixth annual Witches Crawl turns downtown Newnan into a nighttime marketplace from 5 to 9 PM — and it’s free to attend.
The Halloween stretch
The last full week of the month is packed. The Oak Hill Cemetery Tours bring costumed guides and local history to life on October 23 and 24. Saturday the 24th brings the Spirits & Spice Festival in downtown Newnan (2–7 PM), the Grantville Fall Festival with trunk-or-treat along Main Street (4–8 PM), and Senoia’s Wonderland-inspired Halloween Masquerade. Little ones get their turn at the Munchkin Masquerade in downtown Newnan on Friday, October 30, from 10 AM to noon.
Quieter ways to enjoy the season
If crowds aren’t your thing, Chattahoochee Bend State Park offers guided morning hikes, a fireside hot dog and s’mores night, and a Halloween Glow Hike on the 30th. The Newnan Carnegie Library and Peachtree City’s M.T. Allen Memorial Library also have programs several times a week — author talks, film screenings, Mahjong, crafting clubs, and more.
